Insight_on_Kashmir_RamadanThis year marks the 14th year of my grandfather’s passing. During this blessed month of Ramadan, I’d like to provide for the poor and needy in Kashmir and build a well in the name of Mohammed Junaideen, so that Allah will bless him abundantly in his grave.

For those who don’t know, my grandfather was a very kind and caring man. He loved his family more than anything. Although I was only 6 years old at the time of his passing, I still have very good memory of how deeply he loved us all. He was such an amazing father figure to me and my whole family, we used to call him ‘waapa’ out of love which means ‘father’ in tamil. We love and miss him more than ever and therefore we’d like to dedicate a large well in his name. If you can help and donate, it will be a form of Sadaqa Jariah; the act of giving in charity that is ongoing.

As you know there has been territorial dispute in Kashmir between India and Pakistan. The people of Kashmir are in need of our help. This ramadan I would like provide them with something as simple as clean water. Alhamdulillah we are very fortunate to have access to something as basic as water, but there are others around the world who don’t have this luxury.

Donating to such a cause will benefit you in this life and the hereafter. Every little donation helps! May Allah bless you and your families for all your efforts.
